¿ä¾à2 The purpose of this study is to analyze the employment status and utilization status of female construction managers in order to establish a
sustainable manpower management strategy in the CM field amid structural changes in the construction industry and a manpower supply and
demand crisis, and to suggest effective utilization and inflow plans in the future. The conclusions drawn through this study are as follows. 1)
It was found that the greater the sales, the greater the burden per construction manager. 2) Many opinions were that the gender performance
competency of female construction managers was similar, but there was still a negative perception that it was still insufficient. 3) It was
confirmed that there is a high possibility of utilizing female manager in field, and the optimal fields of use were the headquarters' contracts,
personnel, on-site construction, and environmental fields that can demonstrate women's strengths. 4) It is urgent to improve the poor working
environment compared to other industries for the influx and training of female construction managers, and it is necessary to develop and
operate a professional education curriculum to further develop their current professional competencies and a recruitment system that matches
jobs so that they can be exhibited in the right place. 5) It was confirmed that the United States is implementing a curriculum and mentoring
program to foster female leaders to support the influx and settlement of female construction managers. This study compared and analyzed the
current construction managers by gender by dividing them into headquarters and sites, and has limitations in that it cannot provide analysis
and specific countermeasures considering various variables such as company size and position. Accordingly, a follow-up study will be
conducted to supplement the above limitations in the future.
