Urban low-rise residential area is facing challenges related to poor social and physical childcare environment due tothe decline of neighborhood living environment. To this end, it is necessary to apply systematic and future-orientedchildcare-friendly urban regeneration to meet the changing demand of childcare households and solve the low birth rateproblem. The purpose of this study is to propose a plan to vitalize the 'childcare-friendly neighborhood-type urban regeneration'project of urban low-rise residential area in order to contribute to supporting children in local communities and solving the lowbirth rate problem. This study employs a review of previous studies and a survey of a total of 183 people, including 'experts'and 'residents'. The conclusions of this study are as follows. First, physical and social childcare support should becomprehensively considered in consideration of the characteristics of the childcare environment of urban low-rise residential areain setting the goal of the goals of such community-based regeneration initiatives. Second, in the promotion of the'childcare-friendly neighborhood-type urban regeneration' project, the cooperation of various participants in urban low-riseresidential area and community recovery should be considered. Third, it is necessary to utilize local assets includinginfrastructure of urban low-rise residential area. Fourth, it is required to establish a plan to strengthen the capabilities of localresidents in order to continue the childcare-oriented neighborhood regeneration project. This study offers practical insights forfostering childcare-Friendly regeneration in urban low-rise areas. |
