¿ä¾à2 Domestic university dormitories are often built at the time of establishment. Due to the aging of physical facilities, they cannot reflect the lives of modern students, making it difficult to form a community with others within. To solve thisproblem, many advanced countries are using modular construction to provide dormitories that can flexibly respond to theenvironment. And in Korea, modular construction was first introduced in 2014 but it was only used for limited purposes suchas military facilities, schools, temporary structures. So it has not been actively promoted since then.
Therefore, this study dividing into spatial and temporal aspects. In terms of the UK, one of the countries pioneering the useof systems and technologies in modular construction. And in terms of time, the project was set through a 10-year case studybased on 2014 when modular dormitories were first introduced in Korea.
Through the analyzed data, we aim to suggest improvement measures that can replace old existing construction methoddormitories. Or planning directions and activation measures that can be introduced to shared housing facilities beyond dormitoryuse in the future.
