¿ä¾à2 This study analyzed the impact of climate change over the 10-year period from 2014 to 2023 on outdoor air conditions for cooling and
heating design in 17 regions of Korea. It examined the trends in ventilation (outside air) load to assess its impact on system capacity. The
dry bulb temperature for cooling design increased in most regions, with 15 regions experiencing an increase at the temperature distribution
with the 1.0% risk rate over the entire period. During the cooling period, at the temperature distribution with the 2.5% risk rate, temperatures
rose by up to 1.7¡ÆC in 16 regions. The wet bulb temperature decreased in three cities, leading to a slight reduction in enthalpy. For heating
design, the dry bulb temperature increased in all regions at the 1.0% risk rate for the entire period, and by up to 3.4¡ÆC at the 2.5% risk
rate during the heating period. During cooling, ventilation load increased by an average of 19.3% in most regions, but decreased by an
average of 4.1% in three cities and remained unchanged in two cities. For heating, ventilation load decreased in all regions, with an average
of 4.7%. This study quantitatively confirms that temperatures are continuously rising due to climate change. The impact of changes in
outdoor air conditions and ventilation loads on the design of building cooling and heating systems is significant and provides a basis for
future adjustments to codes or standards.
