This study seeks to enhance the use of community facilities in privately developed multi-housing complexes in Daejeon. Community facilities are categorized by district, completion year, and number of households. Research methods include a resident survey analyzing usage, satisfaction, and preferences for these facilities, alongside expert interviews for additional insights. Findings reveal considerable variation in residents' utilization, preferences, and satisfaction. Although these facilities foster community engagement and enhance resident satisfaction, some encounter challenges such as low usage rates and maintenance issues. The study proposes targeted measures to increase facility usage based on residents' preferences and satisfaction levels, stressing the need to tailor facilities to demographic characteristics. Insights from this research aim to guide design experts in creating and managing community facilities within multi-housing complexes, contributing to future policy decisions and legal standards. Ultimately, the study underscores the importance of flexible, resident-centered planning to maximize the benefits of community facilities in urban housing settings. |
