본 연구의 목적은 공공성 관점에서 공공 도서관 이용자 만족도 향상에 영향을 미치는 환경 계획 요인을 파악하고 우선순위를 도출하는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 공공 기관 고객 만족 조사에 보편적으로 활용되고 있는 PCSI (Public-service Customer Satisfaction Index) 만족 모형을 변형하여 설문조사에 활용하였으며, 설문 조사 응답자의 성별, 가구 형태, 거주 기간 등 사회 인구학 적 특성에 따른 집단 별 만족도의 차이를 분석하였다. 또한 공공 도서관에 대한 전반적, 요소, 사회적 만족도의 평균 값을 종속 변수로, 공공성 요인을 독립 변수로 Stepwise Selection을 통한 회귀 분석을 실시하여 도서관 환경 계획 요인을 순위 별로 도출하였다. 그 결과, 공공 도서관 만족도에 영향을 미치는 공공성 요인은 편의성, 접근성, 연계성, 지속 가능성이 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 세부 환경 계획 요소에서는 28개의 항목 중 7개 항목이 유의미한 것으로 나타났으며 편의성 요인의 운영 체계의 편의성, 다양한 편의 시설, 접근성 요인의 건물 접근성, 보행로 접근성, 연계성 요인의 기능적 연계성, 시각적 연계성, 지속 가능성 요인의 이용자 참여 항목이 공공도서관 만족도에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 도서관 이용 만족도에 영향을 미치는 공간 및 건축 계획적 측면의 환경계획 요인을 살펴보기 위하여 도서관 이용자 인식 조사를 실시하여 시설 만족도 향상을 위한 세부적인 요소를 순위 별로 도출하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 표본이 서울시 4개 자치구의 공공 도서관 이용자로 한정되어 조사결과의 일반화에는 어려움이 있다. 하지만 공공 도서관 환경 조성 시 본 연구에서 도출한 환경 계획 요인을 우선적으로 고려한다면 도서관 운영 전략 및 건립방안 계획 시 유용한 기초 자료가 될 것으로 사료 된다. |

The purpose of this study is to identify environmental planning factors that affect the improvement of public library user satisfaction from a
publicity perspective and derive priorities. The PCSI satisfaction model, which is commonly used in public institution customer satisfaction sur
veys, was modified and used in the survey, and differences in satisfaction by group according to the socio-demographic characteristics of surv
ey respondents were analyzed. In addition, regression analysis was conducted through Stepwise Selection with the average value of overall, el
ement, and social satisfaction with the public library as the dependent variable and the publicness factor as the independent variable to derive
library environment planning factors by rank. As a result, convenience, accessibility, connectivity, and sustainability were found to have a sig
nificant impact on publicness factors that affect public library satisfaction. Seven items were found to be significant in the detailed environme
ntal planning elements, and the convenience of the operating system, various convenience facilities, building accessibility, pedestrian path acce
ssibility, functional connectivity, visual connectivity, and user participation were found to have a significant impact on public library satisfacti
on. . This study is significant in that it derived detailed factors for improving facility satisfaction by ranking in order to examine environmen
tal planning factors in terms of space and architectural planning that affect library use satisfaction. Because the sample is limited to users of
public libraries in the four autonomous districts of Seoul, it is difficult to generalize the survey results. However, if the environmental planni
