¿ä¾à2 This study identifies the form and meaning of the user-centered space and the structural system of the space open to theuser, which can understand the original and basic concept of public library architecture, and the structural system of the space opento the user, and classifies the typology of library architecture based on this. I attempted to understand the historical context. Caseanalysis for typological classification targeted 15 overseas libraries, including the library that won the IFLA Library of the Year award, and was analyzed through drawing data, photographic data, and the researcher's field survey for the library. The analysis frameworkof this study is based on the basic concept of the library and the characteristics of the spatial structure. Centrality, which establishesthe central position of the space, spatial connectivity, which indicates the openness of the space, and the intimacy between the twoareas through the arrangement of the bookshelves and reading space. I figured it out. Research results show that centrality, animportant spatial structure that has continued from modern library architecture to modern library architecture, creates various spacesdepending on the location, shape, and number of big holes. Recently, centrality has been appearing even in atypical ways. In thisway, it has been confirmed that in modern libraries, the concept has been inherited, maintained, and changed from the original libraryarchitecture and has developed into a new spatial structure.
