(연구 배경 및 목적) 도시의 건물 전면 공간과 보행도로와 연결되어 가로 활성화의 역할을 하는 공개공지는 지역 이미지를 만드는 공공장소이다. 현재 우리나라의 공개공지는 획일화된 기준을 적용하고 있어, 보다 다채로운 활용을 위해 유형을 분류하고자 한다. 공간의 유형에 따라 이용자의 만족도 영향에 미치는 요인분석을 통해 활성화될 수 있는 장소로서 지속적인 연구가 필요하며, 건물 전면 공간이 주변 시설들과 연계되어 단순한 휴게공간이 아닌 중요한 역할을 수행하는 장소 만들기의 기초 자료 조사에 연구의 목적에 있다. (연구방법) 서울시 공개공지 5가지 유형을 건물 전면 공간의 구조에 따라 3가지인 가로휴게형, 진입 연결형, 광장형으로 분류하였고, 공공장소의 장소 만들기 개념을 설명한 도시 계획자 메튜 카모나의 6가지 차원인 형태학, 지각적, 사회적, 시각적, 기능적, 시간적 개념을 도입하여 독립변수로 구성하여 연구하였다. 6가지 차원 기준으로 장소에 대한 2가지 키워드를 적용하여 설명하였고 선행연구에서 도출된 36가지 키워드로 분석 틀을 구성하였다. 설문의 이해를 돕기 위해 각각 유형별 기준에 맞는 연구 대상지를 선정하여 FGI 전문가 면접을 통해 공간별 특성을 분석을 진행하고 설문을 통해 공개공지의 유형별로 만족도에 영향을 주는 요인분석의 객관성을 통계분석을 통해 유형별 차이와 공통사항을 확인하였다. (결과) 건물 전면 공간 공개공지 유형별로 만족도에 영향을 주는 요인과 우선순위가 다르게 나타났는데 시각적 요인이 만족도에 영향을 주는 공통 요인으로 통계 분석되었고, 연구 대상지 기초 조사를 통해 안전시설 등이 부족한 부분으로 확인할 수 있었다. 유형별로 만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인들에 대한 가이드라인 연구가 필요하고, FGI에서 만족도가 높았던 광장형 유형처럼 개방감 등 랜드마크적인 도시 이미지를 나타낼 수 있고 공공장소로서 부각될 수 있는 세부적인 요인들에 대한 기준이 필요한 것으로 분석되었다. (결론) 건물 전면 공간과 보행도로와 연결된 공개공지는 공공장소로서의 획일화된 접근 방법보다는 각각의 지역이 가지고 있는 형태적 특성, 지역을 이용하는 사람들, 그리고 장소가 가지고 있는 특징에 따른 세분화 기준이 필요하다. 보행자에게 매력 있고, 개방적인 문화 공간 공공장소로서의 역할이 필요하며 민간에서 좀 더 적극적인 투자와 다양한 활용을 통하여 장소가 활성화될 수 있는 요인들을 적용한 제도 도입의 필요성이 요구된다. |

(Background and Purpose) The open space that plays a role of activating the street by being connected to the front space of the city and the pedestrian road is a public place that forms the local image. Currently, domestic open spaces apply standardized standards, so it is necessary to classify them into various types according to their use. As a place that can be revitalized through factor analysis that affects user satisfaction depending on the type, continuous research is needed, and basic data to create a place where the front space of a building is connected to surrounding facilities plays an important role. The purpose of this study is to identify basic data to create a place that plays an important role, not just a resting place. (Method) The five types of open space in Seoul were classified into three types according to the structure of the front space of the building: a small street rest area, an accessibility connection type, and a plaza type. The six dimensions of Matthew Carmona, a city planner who explained the concept of making a place in a open space, were introduced and studied as independent variables. Based on six dimensions, two keywords for place were applied and explained, and an analysis framework was formed with 36 keywords derived from previous studies. In order to help the understanding of the survey, research subjects that fit the criteria for each type were selected, and the characteristics of each space were analyzed through FGI expert interviews. Through this, differences and commonalities by type were identified. (Results) The factors and priorities that affect satisfaction were different for each type of open space on the front of the building. Visual factors were statistically analyzed as a common factor affecting satisfaction, and through a basic survey of the research site, it was confirmed that safety facilities were lacking. Detailed factors that can be highlighted as open spaces that can represent a landmark city image such as openness, such as the square type, which had high satisfaction in FGI standards are needed. (Conclusions) The open space connected by the front space of the building and the pedestrian road requires subdivision criteria according to the morphological characteristics of each area, the people using the area, and the characteristics of the place rather than a uniform approach as a public space. It is necessary to play a role as a public space and cultural space that is attractive and open to pedestrians, and it is necessary to introduce a system that applies elements that can revitalize the place through active investment and various uses by private companies. |
