본 연구는 점차 중요해지고 복잡해지는 도심지 상업건축물의 리노베이션에 효과적으로 대응하기 위한 대안적 디자인 기법으로서 파라메트릭 디자인의 가능성을 확인하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 파라메트릭 디자인을 활용한 국내 리노베이션 프로젝트를 대상으로 파라메트릭 디자인의 기법과 효과를 분석하였으며, 그 결과 상업용 건물의 리노베이션 과정에서 파라메트릭 디자인 기법의 특성이 효과적으로 활용되고 있음을 확인하였다. 파라메트릭 디자인은 알고리즘을 통해 새로운 입면을 위한 기하학적 구조를 정밀하게 제어하는 동시에 시공성을 고려함으로써 상업 건축물의 리노베이션에서 파사드가 요구하는 상징성과 표현성을 적절하고 경제적으로 달성하고 있다. 또한 파라메트릭 디자인은 리노베이션의 관계 범위를 개별 건축물을 넘어 주변 맥락으로까지 확장하여 디자인에 고려함으로써 리노베이션의 효과를 높일 뿐 아니라 도시환경의 공공적 측면에서 긍정적인 효과를 가져올 수 있다. |

The purpose of this study is to discover the potential of parametric design as an alternative design method to overcome renovation limitations
of commercial buildings in urban areas that are becoming increasingly important and complex. Four domestic renovation projects using
parametric designs were selected and the methods and effects of it in response to commercial renovations were analyzed. The analysis results
revealed that the characteristics of the parametric design method were effectively utilized in the renovation process of commercial buildings.
Parametric design achieves the symbolism and representation required by the facade of commercial architecture appropriately and economically
by precisely controlling the geometry while factoring construction through algorithms. In addition, by expanding the scope of renovation to
the surrounding context and considering it in the design, the effect of renovation can be enhanced and a positive impact can be brought
about in the public aspect of an urban environment. |
