1980년대 후반 한국 현대건축의 역사상 유래를 찾기 힘든 강도와 규모로 ‘건축운동’이 활발히 전개되었다. 당시 건축운동이 갖는 상황적, 역사적 의미에도 불구하고 당시의 건축운동은 건축계에 의해 단순한 사회운동의 반복이나 정치적 활동으로 간주되었으며, 이후의 연구자들에게서도 특정 주제나 특정 인물을 대상으로 단편적으로만 다루어졌다. 본 연구는 1980년대 청건협을 중심으로 전개된 건축운동이 사회변혁운동의 차원에서 등장한 ‘부문운동’의 개념을 기본적 목표로 하여 발전되었음을 전제로 하며, 건축운동의 방향을 주제로 발전된 다채롭고 때로는 이질적인 주제들이 부문운동론과의 관련성 속에서 총체적으로 이해될 수 있음을 밝히려고 하였다. 이를 위해, 건축운동권이 부문운동론을 수용하고 건축적 논점들을 만들어간 과정과 방식을 파악하였다. 본 연구는 출판되었거나 미간행된 사료들의 분석을 통해 주요 운동가들이 만든 건축운동론의 주요 방향들과 이들간의 상호연관성을 파악하였으며, 특히 건축의 주체를 재설정하는 과정, 이데올로기 투쟁론의 배경, 외국의 진보적 도시론 및 건축론의 수용 과정을 파악하였다. |

The study aims to analyze the discourse on architectural movement developed around the Cheonggeonhyup (Young architects association) in
Korea in the 1980s. It puts the focus on the Bumunundongron (theory of sectoral movement) as a generator of the architectural movement of
the time. The study shows how this theory, developed at the level of the general social movement of the time, was received and
appropriated by architectural activists gathered around the Cheonggeonhyup. Then, it analyzes the development of the discourse on
architectural movement which could be summarized by particular directions such as the redefinition of the architectural subjectivity the
redefinition of architectural autonomy, a specific appropriation of Marxist urban sociology and the preference of the ideological struggle to
the practical and productivist activities. |
