The purpose of this study is to establish the color planning criteria for the students¡¯ lounge in a university campus which will relieve depression symptoms. 71 university students took part in the experiment to measure subjects¡¯ emotional response (SD evaluation of 10 adjectives) and physiological reactions (prefrontal alpha EEG asymmetry) using total of 12 color simulation models which were applied the colors of R and PB of VIVID, BRIGHT, DEEP tones to the front of the resting space (A type color model) and for the front and both side walls (B type color model). 60 subjects¡¯ data (30 Non-Depression: Group N, 30 Depression: Group D) were used for statistical process. The results show that in resting space, apply to PB-VIVID on the front wall(A type color model), or apply to R-BRIGHT and PB-BRIGHT on both the front and side walls (B type color model) are helpful for both Group N and Group D on their rest activities. |
