Traditional markets played a role in local community distribution and in helping local people communicate. However, since the 1990s, the roles and functions of the local community have declined due to the aging of infrastructure, the expansion of large distribution companies, and changes in consumption behavior. Thus, the government implemented various support projects to revitalize the traditional market, and attempted to improve the physical environment through modernizing the commercial infrastructure of the traditional market. However, the visible traditional market has not been activated. Thus, this study conducted a user behavior analysis on customers to improve the environment of traditional markets. For the purpose of conducting the research, user behavior survey was conducted in the Songhyeon market, and the user's movements and place of residence were recorded on the survey table. They also took pictures of each user's behavior. Through this process, user behavior was divided into movements and places of residence, and preference was analyzed for selecting movements and directions. As a result, the government proposed an environment improvement plan considering users in terms of space boundary, space, and information comprised of facilities in traditional markets. |
