As the saying goes ¡°Technology is now a culture¡±, every creative imagination of humans today is realizing ¡®Cultural Imagination¡¯ by taking new information and forming new relationship through technology as a medium. Architecture has also carried out mediating roles in interrelationships that embrace social and cultural needs between users and spaces as new spatial information and accept them in new forms. I would like to look at this as the ¡°Theorie de l'individation¡±, the idea of Becoming-Technical philosopher Gilbert Simondon. This is created by an individual with a new formation as the solution to internal problems. And it is similar to the construction process of modern architecture, which takes human social and cultural needs as new spatial information and becomes in new forms. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to analyze the characteristics of Formation seen in modern architecture through ¡®Individuation¡¯ and to study that, based on this background, modern architecture is not simply used as a tool for humans, but rather a related structure through mutual communication and coexistence. In particular, the architectural works of Rem Koolhaas(OMA), MVRDV, Ben van Berkel(UN studio) and SANAA which were studied a lot in terms of the becoming process in modern architecture, were analyzed with emphasis. Based on the process of individuation and the process of formation in architecture, we analyze the process of creating individual forms that appear in architectural cases. Furthermore, we derive the formation characteristic in modern architecture by analyzing modern architecture cases based on the individuation framework. In conclusion, through the potential to reveal the possibilities and limitations of various formal systems of new concepts according to individuation in modern architecture, users, society and culture will be able to interact with each other through architecture. |
