¿ä¾à2 The purpose of this study is to examine the visual characteristics of the exterior space of the Acropolis, an ancient Greek citadel, by applying the Visual Access and the Exposure Model. This model is a methodology that can consider both the spatial configuration and the user's sight, and can quantitatively analyze the features and visual features of the exterior space when the Acropolis was used. The method of the study is to quantitatively analyze the building layout and exterior space of the Acropolis in BC530, BC480, BC450, and BC400 by applying Visual Access, Visual Exposure, and Quadrant. The study explored the relationship between major buildings and their exterior spaces in each period. The analysis showed that the views of the ancient Greeks on the exterior spaces have changed over the century: public spaces and private spaces had become more divided as time passed. The exterior space of the Acropolis seemed to be planned out of order, but it was found that the entire space was visually controlled in the front yard of the entrance building, and the public and private spaces were planned to be balanced.
