This study derived the necessary residential services needed in Newlywed Hope Town through in-depth interviews with newly married couples who meet the occupancy requirements of the residential complex. By using the snowball sampling, in-depth interview subjects were gradually expanded from the initially selected interviewees to other couples that they introduced to the researchers. First, the analysis results regarding child care from the interviewed newlyweds suggest that newlyweds need the help of an assistant in rearing their children. The results indicate that Newlywed Hope Town is required to provide child care-specific residential services to alleviate the psychological burden of child care and support the provision of a variety of educational information and participation in economic activities. Second, the newlyweds show high levels of awareness and purchase rate of Newlywed Hope Town, but they were somewhat dissatisfied with the relatively small space. Third, the types of residential services highly requested by the newlyweds were those related to child care. |
