Cool Roof is a roof type of thermal properties with high solar reflectivity and high radiation rate, which is commonly referred to as a roof that has a lower surface temperature than conventional roofs. In the wake of the 2018 heat wave, local governments are expanding their cool roof businesses in poor and old public facilities in preparation for the summer heat wave, even installing cool roof through building energy efficiency loan support, and applying long-term waterproofing and high-heated technology at the same time, unlike the previous method of applying only white heat-blocking paint on building rooftops. In this study, while measuring 3 cool roof models for one year, the thermal characteristics of the cool roof are compared two roof models of urethane coating and polyurea coating, being currently used for building roof exposed waterproofing, with one roof model of vacuum ceramic coating which in eco-friendly thermal proof performance. |
