¿ä¾à2 The first half of this study speculates the meaning of desing vocabularies composing the design methods of open housing. In particular, it is explained that the spatial charactor of margin varies according to the type of supports. The later part illustrates the design process to enhance the flexibility of a Korean apartment plan. Four types of design themes were assumed, which can be chosen by residents individually. If a support can admit the plan variations of each design theme the flexibility of a floor plan would be improved to widen the variation of the plan composition.
