In this study, indoor air quality monitoring of 9 daycare centers in Ansan was conducted to investigate indoor air quality condition of daycare centers. As a result of monitoring, the concentration of indoor CO2 in daycare centers was much higher than the standard value of 1000ppm proposed by the indoor air quality management law except for one place. In particular, in some daycare centers, the maximum CO2 concentration was more than 3000ppm and it exceeded the standard value for more than 70% of childcare time. Therefore, in order to ensure the pleasant indoor air quality of the daycare centers, more aggressive ventilation strategy should be established and institutional improvement and supporting policy will be needed. |
