(Background and Purpose) The South Korean government has designated rehabilitation hospitals for each area and has been actively supporting the establishment of rehabilitation facilities for local residents. At present, there are six rehabilitation hospitals in operation, established by the Ministry of Health and Welfare. One of the rehabilitation hospitals designated in 2015 is under construction. As such, it is necessary to check the difference the facility standards between planned rehabilitation hospitals and current facilities. This study investigated the respective areas of the six rehabilitation hospitals in Korea to analyze problems related to space and the local facilities. (Method) In this study, the concept of rehabilitation medicine is considered in Chapter 2, whereas the facility standards for the rehabilitation hospital in each region are summarized in Chapter 3. The area of the yarn was calculated based on the area consisting of yarns based on the drawing dimensions. (Results) Based on the Ministry of Health and Welfare's facilities standards, ward size is represented by a total of 150 beds, but this study confirmed slight differences in scale depending on the needs of people with disabilities and rehabilitation in each region and the operational characteristics of hospitals. Rehabilitation hospitals with the largest ward area are in Jeju, according to the five-person room standard provided by the Ministry of Health and Welfare. Meanwhile, the study identified the following as the mandatory functions of the outpatient department: spinal cord injury, brain lesion, musculoskeletal lesion, and pain rehabilitation rooms. These were secured only in Gangwon, Gyeongin, and Youngnam area rehabilitation hospitals. The central medical department should be composed of several rooms, as proposed by the Ministry of Health and Welfare. Even taking the characteristics of the area into consideration, hospitals should observe the standards of space and size so that uniform professional treatment can be obtained in any area. It is considered necessary to lose. The other parts of the service and general management should be composed of six different areas with varied sizes but deemed limited in space in many rehabilitation hospitals. (Conclusion) Through a comparative analysis of the actual area of rehabilitation hospitals in different regions, we confirmed the criteria presented by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and their differences with those implemented in each hospital. We observed differences in scale, which could be attributed to the characteristics regional population and area. However, to perform their overall function, these hospitals need to be made to approach the standards in the case of lacking sectors or areas. |
