본 연구는 공개공지의 이용률에 영향을 미치는 물리적 요인연구를 통해 도시 외부공간의 공공성의 회복을 목적으로 한다. 현재 광주 내에 조성되어 있는 공개공지를 방문?관찰조사 및 설문조사를 통해 이용률 증가요인과 감소요인을 평가하였다. 이상의 본 연구에서는 다음과 같은 결과들이 도출되었다. 보행자의 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 앉는 공간, 대중교통 정류장, 횡단보도, 주변건물의 프로그램이 있었다. 차도공간(특히 주차공간보다는 통행로)이 공개공지와 가까울수록 이용률이 저하되는 경향을 보였고 가로공간과 공개공지 간의 구분을 최소화시키는 방안도 공개공지 이용률을 높이는데 중요한 사항으로 나타났다. 공공을 위해 만들어진 공개공지 활성화를 위해 사유공간과 공유공간의 경계가 없어져야 할 것이고, 공공공간의 중요성이 높아지는 시점에서 법규에 적용된 외부공간으로의 공개공지가 아닌 도시 내의 공공성 회복을 위한 방안으로 공개공지를 발전 계획해야 할 것이다. |

This dissertation aims at researching the physical factors having an influence on the use rate of public open area by field investigation. This dissertation visited and checked the real actuality of the use of public open areas constructed in Gwangju and performed a questionnaire survey to appreciate the factors which increased the use rate and decreased the use rate. This dissertation leaded to the conclusion as followings. The characteristics of sitting space, public traffic stops, crosswalks, and neighbouring buildings had most influences on pedestrians' behaviors. The closer to public open space the vehicle area(especially passing area, rather than parking area), the lower the use rate appeared. Also, the method of minimizing the disturbance factors between street space and public open space was important in increasing the use rate of privately owned public space. A good privately owned public space is a place which is donated for public, rather than just for owners, and space where there isn't any boundaries between private land and public land. In these days, the importance of public space are becoming huge. It is necessary not only just to consider privately owned public spaces as a outdoor space to check the relevant regulation, but also a space that need to coexist with the rest of the elements in the whole city. |
