¿ä¾à2 (Background and Purpose) Public participation in issues of general importance through interactive communication, in combination with media technology, is being accorded increasing priority over general public acceptance. This process is amplified, when it includes elements such as playfulness to stimulate human emotion. (Method) The theoretical background of playful media art is applied to the public space, and the works of Rafael Lozano-Hemmer are classified into 3 playfulness experience stages, and 13 elements including activity-oriented, amusement, trust, bond of sympathy, transmitted force, and sensitization are identified from these stages and analyzed. (Result) It was concluded that playful media art in the public space serves as a new way of communication today, and gives a senses of belonging and solidarity to the modern people. There is a need to form a new public space by establishing the value and identity of a city.
