본 연구는 초량동은 과거 이주민들이 살고 있는 판자촌과 부산항을 따라 상업활동을 하고 있으며, 원도심으로서 인구가 대도시로 이동함에 따라 산업쇠퇴와 지역적 단절이 발생하고 있다. 현재 부산역, 문화거리, 커뮤니티공간 등이 형성되어 도시 내의 인구가 증가하고 있다. 하지만 지역적 단절 및 지역 주민이 이용가능한 문화공간을 찾기 힘들다. 과거에는 골목길을 따라 주거지역과 상업지역을 움직이던 모습은 사라지고, 현재 도로중심의 그리드화된 구조 속에 살아가고 있다. 이에 도로중심이 아닌 사람이 중심이 되는 생활가로(시각적 변화)와 지역 동네도서관을 연계하여 회복한다. |
