Transparent solar cell can be applied to windows in a building for the purpose of power generation and shading. To do so, PV windows should have sufficient thermal performance by comprising double or triple glazing systems and then can be used as building integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) systems. Transparent solar cells applied to multi-layer or triple-layer window systems will have different temperature profiles than ordinary solar cells and this is directly related to the power generation performance. The purpose of this study is to investigate the temperature profile of each layer of the BIPV insulated glazing and the effect of power performance on the temperature profile using full-scale mock-up test cell. As a result of the temperature analysis of each double layers window, the maximum temperature of DSSC BIPV Window was recorded on the DLT(Vertical:51.8¡É/Slope:90.4¡É). And Maximum Temperature of Blue Clear Window on the ASOT(Vertical:46.8¡É/Slope:66.8¡É). The minimum temperature of DSSC BIPV Window was recorded on the OST(Vertical:19.8¡É/Slope:8.2¡É) and minimum Temperature of Blue Clear Window on the ASOT(Vertical:11.4¡É/Slope:8. 2¡É). As a result of correlation between IST and each layer surface temperature, the DLT increased by 1.78¡É and ASOT(DSSC Rear Surface Temp), AST(Air Space Temp) increased by 1.70¡É and 1.64¡É when the IST increased by 1.00¡É. The temperature coefficient of DSSC for IST and DLT, ASOT was -0.789% /¡É and -0.451% /¡É, -0.452% /¡É respectively. |
