Approximately 60% of the thtal energy consumption of buildings in recent years is due to windows.(1) Vacuum glass is suitable to meet the insulation criterion of the building exterior which is continuously strengthened. This study verified the heating energy saving performance of second generation vacuum glass. the glass used in the experiment consisted of inner-vacuum double glazing, vacuum single glazing, outer-vacuum double glazing. As a result the heating energy saving rate of outer-vacuum double glazing was the highest. This is because the U-value of inner-vacuum double glazing and outer-vacuum double glazing are similar, but SHGC of outer-vacuum double glazing is higher than that of inner-vacuum double glazing. |
