This paper analyzed the nonlinear behavior of steel slit dampers considering the geometric nonlinearity and material nonlinearity of steel slit dampers. The analysis was performed using a nonlinear kinematic hardening model, and the load was subjected to repetitive forces in such a method as to control the displacement. When the load values w ere compared at specific displacement of steel slit damper, the analysis results by the kinematic hardening model were good matches with the experimental results. In addition, the analysis results of the nonlinear hardening model considering the geometric nonlinearity are similar to those of the experimental results. |
