Government of South Korea has effort to reduce building energy. Especially, it is possible for all new buildings to have to not use fossil fuel. However, there are many old buildings in South Korea, which are estimated about 6.8 million(70% of all buildings in South Korea). This kind of buildings has been an obstacle to reduce energy consumption in this filed. Because of this background, purpose of this paper is to develop new curtain wall for easily and economically remodeling. Also, This paper analyzed possibility of improving building energy performance through building energy simulation tool(EnergyPlus) and evaluated construction cost for remodeling by using new curtain wall system and existing method. |
