In the use of co-housing apartments, the issue of structural alterations to a balcony has emerged and legalized the current use of extended-balcony apartment. However, problems such as inflow of the outside air and noise from the change of balcony construction have occurred. Therefore, in order to assess the efficiency of the change in balcony structure, 85m2 building in the Dongjak district of Seoul was targeted to analyze the required amount of cooling and heating in accordance with the type and efficiency of the glass on the used extended balcony. By doing so, the efficiency of the economy and the air-conditioning was proposed from the calculation of the initial investment cost as well as the payback period to compare the before and after of the structural change of the balcony. |
