In the present study, environments for promotion of creativity for office rest spaces were discussed through previous studies related to office rest spaces whose importance has been increased with a change of the time together with creativity. In order to understand the characteristics of spatial expression of office rest space for promotion of creativity, this study produced the characteristic of a space for promotion of creativity and analyzed cases through the precedent study. According to the results of previous studies, the spaces aimed at promotion of creativity were shown to be a variable space, an open space, the detailed contents for which were arranged for derivation of an analysis framework. First, according to the case analysis results following the analysis framework, the variable space was being solved through arrangement and forms, spatial elements or uses of the furniture capable of accommodating diversified purposes. Secondly, play spaces could be seen to be solved through transformation of form and layout or heterogeneous, extraordinary direction of finish materials, lighting and props, or props and finish materials implying a direct play element or play space enjoyable by 1 person or more. Thirdly, the open spaces were being solved by using transparent materials or through connection, expansion or removal of boundaries between spaces. The significance is placed on identification of what characteristics the expression of spaces for actual promotion of creativity by deriving space expression elements for promotion of creativity through the present study. |
