As infectious diseases like MERS and H1N1 made many victims recently in Korea, the risk of airborne infection has become on the rise. Accordingly, the domestic government has expanded installation of the negative-pressure isolation rooms by an act of parliament. This study reviews and analyzes the domestic and foreign negative-pressure isolation rooms guidelines for the pre-scanning step to assess domestic negative-pressure isolation rooms guidelines. As a result of analyzing, the major factors are determined by pressure differential, air diffuser arrangement and patient circulation to prevent airborne infection in negative-pressure isolation rooms. |
