The purpose of this study is to investigate the lighting conditions and the occupants' perception on visual environment of underground parking lot. Five underground parking lots of residential buildings in Jinju city are selected and their illumination levels and color combinations were determined by field measurements. A survey about the occupants' perception on the visual environment also performed and 51 respondents reported. The results show 74% of occupants satisfied to overall illumination levels although the measured values are slightly low. The uniformity ratio of illuminance increased by the natural lighting implementation. However, only 22% of respondents replied that the glare is occurred by natural lighting. No high-chroma colors are used in the underground parking lots. Smaller underground parking lots used high-value colors for the amenity. Contrary to this, larger parking lor used mid-value colors. Satisfied respondents about colors combination and sign quality are 45% and 39% respectively. |
