This study focuses on the current status and direction of the policy of special education curriculum emphasizing the career and vocational education for the successful social adaptation and establishment of students with disabilities, and the planning of appropriate architectural learning space corresponding to it. Therefore, this study analyzes special education law, policy, the current status and curriculum of special education and selects five courses adaptable to most schools by deriving the spatial elements to build the appropriate career and vocational space. This study proposes the guidelines of spatial plans for educational and experiential environments to enhance the quality of school training to students with disabilities and to make students be prepared before they leave for the field training. Through this study, the appropriate architectural configuration of the career and vocation space can be explored in order to satisfy realistic and systematic special education practices when planning a special school. |
