Despite the government's efforts to diffuse long-life housing, few cases apply various technologies required in Long-life Housing Certification System. The negative attitude of construction companies in adopting long-life housing is mainly caused by their concerns of cost increase and low profit. In this study, the long-life housing technologies with high flexibility and repair-easiness such as lightweight wall and ceiling system, wall-mount plumbing in bathroom are employed, and the construction costs are estimated accordingly. Then, the realistic level of costs of long-life housing is evaluated by comparing them with the costs of similar apartment with normal plan and construction methods. The results of this study to review the marketability of long-life housing from the aspect of cost are expected to be utilized as useful material in supporting decision-making of technology application and developing institutional supplementation. |
