The purpose of the study is to find geographic characteristics of one person households in Daegu·Gyeoungbuk area. Study area has covered all cities and counties in Daegu·Gyeoungbuk and unit of spatial analysis was eup·myeon·dong. Data was collected from Population Data of Statistical Yearbooks as of December 2015. This study used hotspot analysis using Geographic Information Systems. The results were as follows : 1) Rates of one person households were from 8.9% to 72.8%. Some areas of Daegu(Wolsung 1 dong, Sangin 1 dong, Dowon dong, Hwangum 1 dong, Gosan 1 dong, Gosan 3 dong, Bumer 4 dong, etc), Pohang(Hyogok dong, Dooho dong, Yanghak dong, etc), and Gumi(Goa eup) were less than 20% of one person households. While, some parts of Gumi(Jinmi dong, Wonpyung 1 dong), Daegu(Sungnae 1 dong, Sungnae 2 dong, Sungnae 3 dong), Gyeungsan(Bukbu dong), and Sungju(Gumsoo myeon, Gacheon myeon) were more than 50%. Moreover, north and inland areas of Gyeungbuk including Moonkyung, Sangju, Bonghwa, and Gunwee were also more than 50% of one household persons. 2) Result of hotspot analysis has showed that there were hotspots. One was clustered in the area of Sooryun, Gachen, and Gumsoo of Sungju, and Jirye of Kimcheon. The other was clustered in the crossroad of Sannae of Gyungju and Woonmoon of Chungdo. On the other hand, most areas of Soosung-gu, Dalseo-gu, and Buk-gu of Daegu, and Pohang were coldspots. |
