Recently, the streetscape of a city is adding cultural values to an urban place as the field for communication beyond the function of a road used for people to pass. Keeping pace with this social change, streets are being maintained in different forms. However, different business entities are conducting it in different processes, so it's difficult to integrate the present streetscape reorganization projects on the whole. The processes in the planning stage are different depending on the main agents, and the major elements related to the actual influential physical environments of streetscape and the impacts of these factors are different, too. Accordingly, this research aims at examining the local firms, private enterprises, national local governments, government investment institutions and etc. in charge of the former streetscape reorganization projects, analyzing the maintenance process of each main agent, grasping the characteristics of streetscape reorganization of each process, and suggesting the direction for efficient maintenance for future streetscape reorganization projects. |
