The post office in the early stage of fascist regime was flexible use of existing buildings or architectural style of traditionalism. Young rationalist architects organized the Gruppo7 in 1926 and, at the same time the law related to the post office was revised. Thus the opportunity to introduce the "international architecture" was given to many post office competition. Despite the massive post office Competition in 1933 and 1934, the most post office inherited the traditional "Ottocento style" in the early 1900s, and the neoclassical post offices were built according to the philosophy of the fascist regime longing for the reconstruction of the Roman architectural culture.
