Many universities are installing HBDS(Human Body Detection Sensor) in their buildings for energy saving purpose. In this research, lecture rooms with HBDS were selected as the experiment site, specially where HBDS is installed with RF(Radio Frequency) sensor which enables ON/OFF control. The experiment was conducted in one week interval, first week RF sensor was OFF and the following week RF sensor was ON. Then the amount of electric energy used by EHP and lighting instrument was measured. The result showed RF sensor saved 41.4[KWH] electric energy in one week and the saving ratio was 25.9%. Economic feasibility calculated by pay-back period was 4.92 years to collect insulation expense. |
