현대의 도시는 도로, 광장, 랜드마크, 지역 등 다양한 요소들로 이루어져 있다. 이 요소들에는 인공적으로 축조된 인조환경, 자연적으로 형성된 자연환경요소들도 포함되어 있으며, 과거의 건축물에서부터 현대도시의 공간까지 거슬러 올라가 시대의 요구를 되돌아볼 수 있는 복잡한 도시공간으로 구성되어 있다. 본 연구에서는 이 수 많은 인지요소들 속에서 도시이미지(Image map) 지도를 이용해 시민들이 인지하고 있는 도시이미지 요소를 알아보겠다. 특히 도시설계 분야에서는 잘 다루지 않았던 과거의 장소, 건축물, 도시의 요소들이 새로운 도시공간으로 형성되면서 사람들의 인식이 장소에 대한 경험적, 시간적 체험이 환경적, 물리적 변화에 따라 어떠한 도시이미지 요소를 인식하는지 분석한다. 본 연구에서는 도시이미지 분야에서 잘 다루지 않았던 지역 명소의 비이용자와 이용자 간 도시이미지 인지 특성을 구분하여 조사하고, 그 요소 간 특성 및 관계를 규명함으로써 추후 도시 및 공간, 건물을 포함한 모든 도시 및 환경디자인을 할 때, 본 연구내용을 접목해 각 구성원에 따른 특성을 조화롭게 적용하여 더 나은 공간 형성에 이바지하고자 한다. |

Modern city is comprised of various elements including roads, squares, landmarks and other regions. They are covering artificial and natural environments, and are consisted of complex urban spaces, which can show the demand of era to look upon from the structures of the past to the cities of the present. This paper analyzes the 'Image of the city' map in order to investigate the urban images which are recognized by the citizens. Specifically, this paper aims on the effect of changes in the spots, structures and other urban elements, which are affecting the cognition of people's understanding on the issue of urban images with the environmental and physical transition. The characteristics of image between the experienced and non-experienced to the landmark are investigated, and the relationship of image elements are studied, in which would be adjusted in situations like a new urban and environmental design, dedicating to the development of a harmonious urban space. |
