To produce an economically viable option, a spectrally solar selective coated glazing was developed in Korea. This is amineral-based spectrally selective coating. To verify the optically superiority of this glazing type, an experiment was carriedout. Mock-ups with the spectrally selective coating window, along with three types of windows easily available in the marketwere set up. Real time data monitoring and subsequent analysis showed that the room with spectrally selective glazing has amean temperature 4.6¡É lower than that of clear double window room and 3.5¡É lower than single low-e room but only 1.7¡Éhigher than triple window room. |
