The purpose of this study is to suggest the direction of appropriate space, suitable to the child care policy, which is oriented for consumers. In order to successfully do this, spatial composition of both the national and public Child Care Center, that focus on the weakness of Educare for children from 0 to 2 years old, will be studied to strengthened publically. Through four case studies in Sungdong Public Child Care Center, the study was divided into the Educare space, Educare supporting space, and management space to be analyzed. The result of this study showed that the facilities of the Child Care Center are all in satisfactory standards, however appropriate spatial composition for Child Care for 0 to 2 years old children displayed to be limited and insufficient. Additionally, service areas for the teaching staff and parents again showed significant limit or insufficiency. |
