To extend life-cycle of building spaces, architectural design should deal with not only user's needs but also life-cycle of buildings. User's needs are influenced by social changes and impacts on the validity of space functions. Current design process is based on the concept of static space which is not configurable. For the implementation of reconfigurable space using Internet of Things (IoT), space can be redefined as flexible and dynamic object adaptive to use's needs. Furthermore, a symbiotic information structure of physical model and digital model(e.g. Building information Modeling, BIM) is presented by focusing on data interoperability in design process. |
