The elderly living alone's population is growing rapidly. Lots of the Elderly have accidents inside the home. Recently, the solitary deaths caused by the accident inside the home is proceeding at a rapid pace. Therefore, we study the solution to manage the solitary death of the elderly who live alone through applying smart service based on IT. This paper stresses the importance of designing smart services to match the behaviors of residents. The Purpose of this study is to propose smart services based on behavior patterns. This study extracts 1483 patterns as the behavior patterns of the elderly living alone from a preceding research. 3 behavior patterns was compressed based on the frequency. And then, we analyze the elderly who live alone, solitary death, and smart home technologies through literature review. In order to prevent the solitary death, we proposed the smart services in connection with behavior of the elderly who live alone and discussed how develop smart services. This study is very significant in the point of combining social problem, solitary death and smart technology to solve this problem. Also, this study has contributed to developing the smart home services. |
