With the purpose of first, understanding the propensity expressed in the graduation works collection of the Daegu University Department of Interior Architectural Design and second, proposing questions, this paper summarizes the concept of the graduation works by studying the curriculum, recent trends in the interior design industry, and the contest types. The study also organizes the collected data by year, structure, facility, and characteristics. The analytical results showed that a high percentage of works was on indoor environment including the building envelope. With a number of works focusing on architectural design of the outside and the envelope, it was shown that the works lean too much towards one direction. If the collection manages to include works on various topics including furniture and natural environment, it may be used as a source in creating a guideline. For a graduation work to be utilized as a useful material in the field, the problems mentioned earlier need to be improved. Also, works need to incorporate various methods of creation. In addition, there needs to be a study that establishes a filtering system that analyzes and manualizes the results drawn from looking at the graduation works. |
