With world?wide spreads of tall building construction in recent years, the utilization of a high-rise building's top floors as an observatory platform has been increased in numbers. The observatory platform has been a major tourist's attraction as the final destination of the building tour. This research is focused on planning and designing issues of this observatory platform with its various facilities. By surveying and researching the cases of the observatory platforms in tall buildings in domestic and overseas, its architectural planning elements and spatial prototypes are classified. By establishing the base of the theoretic design consideration, this research is aimed to define the guideline of circulatory plan for multi-storey observatory platform, especially, focusing on the W-Tower case. |
