¿ä¾à2 Since 1990's, improvement of many school facilities have been carried out, indoor environmental quality of school building became advanced remarkably. But, this attempt increased energy consumption, thus counterplans for energy saving became demanded urgently. Cooling energy has an important influence on peak load, and more expensive than heating energy in price. In cooling load, solar heat gain take possession of 15%. So, energy performance improvement of building skin is very important for energy saving. This study aims to investigate energy performance of envelope in school buildings. The subject building has been selected, the contribution of air temperature and cooling load has been simulated, cooling energy performance of several envelope types have been compared. By this research, we confirmed that envelope renovation is very effective for energy saving in school buildings.
