A rapid increase in power consumption due to increase in electrical consumption in a building has become an issue. So, necessity of building energy savings is growing rapidly. The aim of this study is to evaluate the changes in building energy performance of an office building by the application of Transparent BIPV Window. Analysis of heating and cooling load for clear window, high performance window(Low-e) and Transparent BIPV Window was performed in terms of cooling and electrical energy consumption saving for Transparent BIPV Window. The study has shown that high performance window is effective for whole building energy savings and Transparent BIPV Window is more effective for electrical energy savings. |
