¿ä¾à2 The main purposes of windows in building are to take the view of the outside and to play the role in decreasing the lighting and heating energy through the daylighting. However, the increase in the energy lighting and cooling consumption is caused by the blind which is unreasonably operated in many curtain wall offices. The blind is closed about 75% of the time without being adjusted by occupants. In this study, the indoor lighting environment was analyzed when adjusting visible transmittance of DSSC BIPV window. Three visible transmittance of 10%, 20% and 30% were chosen for the analysis. The experiment was performed in the curtain-wall office building. Dynamic simulation considering lighting environment and building energy performance was conducted by using EnergyPlus as a software analysis tool. Useful Daylight Illuminance for lighting environment is analyzed both qualitatively and quantitatively as an evaluation index. Building energy performance analysis synthetically considered both DSSC BIPV window and lighting control. As a result, securing the appropriate value of interior illuminance is possible because the low visible transmittance of DSSC BIPV window prevents the introduction of the excessive daylight. DSSC BIPV window is effective for cooling energy reduction in the summer because of low solar heat gain compared to the clear window. Futhermore, energy saving is additionally improved if adjusting lighting control was activated. Consequently, when the DSSC BIPV window that enables the introduction of the suitable daylight is integrated with lighting control system, it further reduce both lighting and cooling energy consumption.
