This study aims to develop a module type rainwater management system to save and infiltrate stormwater into the soil below the impermeable layer and to review the possibility of applying it to the actual field through Test-bed, in order to reduce stormwater runoff caused by regional torrential rains that occur each year, and expansion of road pavement of impermeable layers. The developed module type rainwater management system was designed to temporarily save and infiltrate outflow water of the surface of the earth into the underground structure by time differences. The influent water which exceeds the capacity of the construction body for detention, is discharged through an overflow pipe connected to an urban storm sewer and secures the stability. This system mainly consists of an underground storage structure, a overflow, an overflow pipe and an urban storm sewer. The possibility of field application of the development system was considered, by applying it to the parking space of university located in Jecheon city, Choongbuk Province. |
