This study aims at examining realism in fine arts, interpreting Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, extracting the realistic characteristics of the practicality and veracity expressed in the formative objects of Gehry¡¯s architecture, and finding their ideological and plural values. To Gehry¡¯s architecture does social and pop art super-realism approach and the tools to reveal the truth of dynamic, temporal and light reality worked in a multilateral way. That is, first, the truth which can be sensed by a structure harmonized with nature and a city with the pattern of power of vision when the meaning of architecture is expressed dynamically, second, the truth of simultaneity to expand and appreciate changing time to the media of architecture surface, and third, the truth of the physical, psychological and ideal space that can be visually seen behind the cold expressions of property of matters with the gloss of light are expressed. This is the consistent attitude observed only in Gehry¡¯s architecture combining architecture and fine arts. Therefore, new artistic vision of architecture can be found when the de-constructive feature is understood with the ideological artistic elements resisting against the existing art connected to architecture. |
