Recently many efforts have been tried for saving of energy in building. All through the building life cycle, over 80 percent of the energy is known to use in the course of operating stage, and therefore it is very important to save energy in this using stage. The various important functions of BEMIS(Building & Energy Management and Information System), which recently developed by KICT(Korea Institute of Construction Technology) were introduced, The various analysing tools such as the energy consumption analysis tools, the performance analyses and diagnosis tools for various building systems, economic performance analysis tool, several active BEMS control algorithms as well as the conventional monitoring and alarm functions. The typical and important functions for building energy management and saving in BEMIS were examined with the absorption chillers in K-building in Korea and yielded 4.9 years of payback period after replacement. |
