The purpose of this study is to suggest the Dormitory housing as an alternative housing around Campus. The present domestic housing situation is dominantly set by one person household base. But this situation should be questioned when we try to solve various problems such as quality of living environment, community facilities, collapse of modern one family and increase in houses supply for university students are insufficient by architectural method. So, this study introduces the dormitory type housing which has been spreaded over Japan as an alternative housing under the similar situation. In so doing, this study introduces its social background, constructed models and plans, etc. Analysis of cases, dormitory type housing can be self-reliant lifestyle of dwellers and grouped into a shared part is also possible. In other words, the public spaces are combined as a place of community space and independent privacy of private lifestyle has been secured. Conclusively, we hope this study to be a catalyst for renewing our recognition of housing and to give a guide line for adopting the Dormitory type housing as an alternative housing around campus. |
